Blackwattle Bay, nestled within the Glebe area, is a spot I explore often on walks with my partner and his dog, Scout. Glebe’s charm lies in its harmonious blend of urban life and natural beauty, and Blackwattle Bay is the perfect embodiment of this balance. The bay’s peaceful waters and surrounding greenery provide a tranquil escape from the bustle of the city.
By merging my newfound interest in printmaking with detailed drawing, I sought to capture the serene atmosphere and intricate details of this cherished spot. Employing a dot technique to build form and shadows, I added depth and texture to the work. The layered textures mirror the complexity of nature, while the soft transitions between light and shadow evoke the quiet moments of reflection that I experience during these walks.
