A naïve figure derived from my spontaneous pencil drawings is loosely rendered in paint and charcoal onto thick pastel paper. Hovering between the figurative and the abstract, the created image inhabits an imaginative and affective interior landscape.  The configurations of lines and spatial relationships in this mixed media work compose a distinct visual language that is personal and yet can resonate directly with the viewer.
