Mud maps have been drawn up over the ages as an instant communication method.
My mud map represents places of significance that I have travelled in Australia; through such places as desert, orchards, following the Murray River and by ploughed fields. Where the roads join could be a meeting place or represent our life at a cross roads. 
It is a documentation of my travel moments and the sense of place from where I grew up in Australia.
