I recently had the opportunity to spend two days in New York on my way home to Sydney, an absolute must was a visit to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. What a spectacular entry with Jenny Holzer’s illuminated moving LED personal and political text scroll sweeping right up the six ramps of the rotunda to the vortex of this magnificent architectural masterpiece of Frank Lloyd Wright, cited to be the most famous American architect of the 20th Century. Having marvelled at the clean shell like structure before I found the text driven light show both compelling and disturbing at the same time. In ten days from this visit it was gone.
