I saw this vege patch by the side of the road as I drove into Central Tilba. I was wending my way down the NSW south coast on a painting trip. I love the colours, the vibrant orange flowers, the tilled browns of the earth, the yellowed pastures grey -green fringe of bush on the ridgeline against the faded denim sky. I made a sketch in watercolour and ink and painted largely from that.
