Information for entrants

  1. The 2022 Show has a limit of 180 artworks, entries cannot be accepted beyond this limit

  2. To be eligible for entry, artists must currently reside, work or study within Glebe, or within the City of Sydney or Inner West Council boundaries. and be 18 years or over.

  3. One work in total per entrant is allowed, in one of the following categories:

    • Works on Canvas/Painting/Mixed Media

    • Works on Paper

    • Photography

  4. A work previously submitted is not eligible for this year’s exhibition. Works must have been created in the last 3 years.

  5. All works submitted must be suitable to hang on a wall and paintings must be dry and ready for display. Maximum size limit 100cm x100cm including mount and frame. Excessively heavy or oversized works will be rejected.

  6. Prints, drawings and photographs must be properly framed. All works must be ready to hang with D rings attached.

  7. Works that comprise more than one piece (e.g., diptychs, triptychs) must be joined as one work, and the total size must not exceed the maximum size limit of 100cm on any side.

  8. Artwork subjects must not be offensive in nature.

  9. If artwork is framed the frame must be included in the price and size.

  10. You may submit a photo of your artwork. This will appear on our website, so please make sure to submit the best quality image you can. Images should be jpg, or png with a min size of 1000px on their shortest side.

  11. There is a $30 entry fee, not refundable. No changes to works, titles, or pricing are permitted after entry.

  12. All works submitted must be for sale. 25% commission will be retained on each sale. Proceeds are used to fund the Glebe Art Show.

  13. This is a non-selective show. Decisions on the placement of the artworks will be made by our curatorial panel. No further communication will be entered into regarding this.

  14. The judges’ decisions regarding awarding of prizes are final.

  15. All prizes are non-acquisitive.

  16. Insurance is the responsibility of the entrant. All reasonable care will be taken to ensure the safety of the works while on the premises.

  17. All works submitted must be delivered and collected within the times stipulated (late collection will incur a holding fee of $5 /day).
