Brushed dots and strokes of oil paint on an acrylic iridescent layer show an expanse of ocean with pale hills in the distance.  Post Impressionists like Raoul Dufy and Gustave Klimpt inspired me to make  a painting that feels serene  using  little detail.  I also wanted to emphasise  the striking turquoise colour, so often found in seas and oceans.
