This view is quintessentially inner-west to me. It captures the feel of being at home in our local community.  I have spent years raising children, pushing a pram..walking early in the morning. Always my eyes are drawn to look across the harbour. Through all the little eras, this water sparkling with sunlight has been there - uplifting and beautiful. Naturally, as a painter- the light on these local waters has become the focus of a series of paintings - examining the way the light plays on the harbour and the boats. This is my latest work in this series.
