Autumn by the Lake
I  am an artist who loves the beautiful softness and emotional impact of watercolours. My painting here is of a small part of Lake Burley Griffin, painted on site from the lawns of Government House, Yarralumla, as part of my inclusion in the inaugural Capital Plein Air festival in Canberra. On that day almost a hundred of us were allowed special access to the grounds. Some painted the residence I but I loved the lake, its quiet peace and its beautiful glowing autumn colours.
