Mary Ciantar is an an emerging artist and social scientist working in a community role full time. Her artistic narrative is often expressed with reference to the landscape,  and exploring the passage of time.. 
Art making for Mary  is a meditation, chance to slow down, and observe the detail in her surrounding. Colour and mark making finds its own rhythm, freedom, mood and visual expression. Mary works with acrylics, oils and pastels under her pergola,  in a makeshift studio in Leichhardt.
