'Be on Your Way' reflects both my experiences in nature and my personal journey as an artist. The work comes from a process of looking back while continuing to move forward—much like the paths we take through life and the landscapes that surround us. My practice began with figurative painting, where I explored stories through recognisable forms and narratives. Over time, my work gradually moved towards abstraction as I searched for a visual language that felt more instinctive and distinctly my own. This transition has been a process of experimentation, discovery and learning, allowing me to move beyond the literal and explore what lies beneath the surface of an image. Nature remains a constant presence within this evolution. Through time spent outdoors, I have become drawn to the organic structures, rhythms and movements found within the natural environment. In Be on Your Way, these influences are not represented directly, but emerge through abstract forms, layered colour, movement and interconnected shapes. The work reflects the idea that finding your own direction is not always a straight path. Like nature, my practice continues to shift, grow and take unexpected turns. Be on Your Way is both a reflection of where I have come from and an invitation to keep moving—to remain curious, embrace change and trust the journey ahead.
