The artwork is about the unique character of our native birds, I've chosen the Beach Stone Curlew in this instance. I'm drawn to the gaze of wildlife, especially birds, with their ancient lineage, who seem to interrogate our human presence and demand our acknowledgement of their importance in our fragile ecosystems.
