I�m intrigued by the lovely laneways that wind through our city where turning a corner can reveal a new puzzle of pattern and colour. This striking example in Erskineville has provided the inspiration for several plein air and studio works. The shapes and tones of the long view are dramatically lit by the morning sun and dominated by a glorious gumtree.
