My inspiration is drawn from the beauty and fragility of the natural world.  I spend time in the landscape observing the elements making sketchbook drawings to capture the spirit and essence of the place.
 
Then, back in my Rozelle studio my first brush marks on the canvas are energetic and exciting exploring the relationship between place and memory.  I work in an intuitive and painterly way putting who I am into the painting.  Each successive layer of paint is a reaction to the layer before � a dialogue between myself and the paint.
