As I walk the parklands and streets around the Glebe area, especially around the foreshore, I'm struck by the way green spaces now
proliferate and form a kind of entente with the old industrial machinery resurrected and preserved from the area's working past. I tried to use shape and colour in this abstract work to depict the greening of Glebe, overlaying a layer of hard edged grey shapes to represent the machinery of the past. The bright orange references rust and decay.
