At the heart of Camphor Wood where the trees grow tallest, a cathedral hovers, shifting lights filtering through the canopy encapsulate an enhanted cavern. Here the foret fauna, the donkey named Zorro leading nags which were put to pastures and mythical beasts from childhood daydreams stumble in and out.
This work was painted and drawn on an unfinished watercolour fragment, from my exhibition titled Camphor Suite at Cape Gallery, Byron Bay NSW 1984. Jerry Liew 2021
