On a road trip to Ireland we visited the Irish National Horse Stud and Gardens in County Kildare 50kms south west of Dublin. In late Autumn the Japanese Gardens explode with vibrant shades of gold, amber and russet. I took many beautiful photos of the gardens in drizzling rain but it was on return to our car, and with ever increasing rain, that I took this photograph of the golden trees through the very wet windscreen of our car. This transformed what was already a magical landscape into a semi abstract image of golden autumn colours.
