This still life was inspired by a friend's kitchen, caught when her potted orchid was in full bloom and lemons were freshly picked. I was drawn by the juxtaposition of those bright and vibrant colours against the dark teal wall, and the paintings on the wall that highlighted the beautiful tones of the orchids. I am a local artist living in Rozelle and have previously exhibited in the Glebe Art Show. I mainly work in oils and generally focus on interiors, figurative and genre paintings.
