The basis for my current work is an affinity for the natural and built environments; the beauty of the evolution of the earth and the way in which people have adapted it and created their places around and within it. I have held a camera from a very young age and have gone from ‘Box Brownie’ and pocket-sized cameras through a range of SLR film and digital equipment to now where I use solely an iPhone 13 for all work. This poses its own challenges and limitations which are part of the adventure of making pictures. The upside is that I have a camera with me always and can capture the most spontaneous moments.
