This work is a collision of images, gestures and cultural debris assembled across the surface of a pine skateboard deck. Fragments of advertising, art history, comics, fashion, street graphics and pop culture compete for space, layered with paint, markers and torn paper.
The piece depicts the relentless visual noise of contemporary life. All the images we consume and unconsciously carry with us. Figures emerge from the chaos only to be interrupted, obscured or overwritten by something else. Beauty sits beside ugliness, humour beside anxiety, and the familiar becomes strange via unexpected combinations.
