This image of a winter landscape is created with Chinese black ink on rice paper using a brush only and adding additional water to attain different tones and strokes. As an artist working mainly in watercolours I have had a long-time interest in Chinese and Japanese art and love the freedom, looseness and spontaneity of brush straight to paper with no prior drafting.
